About the event

Join us to bathe in silence to receive whatever healing you might need at this current time.

2 free sessions on Monday, January 18 and January 25 from 12.30 PM to 1 PM

If we allow silence to open up within, we shall see the gate and be free to open it. The gate that silence opens up within us leads to light. Light exposes us with an almost merciless radiance and, in the exposure, reveals the beauty of the real.

~ S. Wendy Beckett

WHAT IS REIKI?

Reiki is a Japanese healing art developed in Japan in the 1920s by Usui Mikao. The original name was “shin shin kaizen "Usui Reiki Ryoho” which can be translated as the "Usui healing method for the improvement of body and mind". The system of Reiki offers a set of gentle, yet powerful spiritual healing practices that promote a sense of care, presence, compassion, balance, and overall wellbeing, for ourselves as well as for others, by bringing us back into our natural state of wholeness.

HOW CAN REIKI HELP YOU?

The practice of Reiki brings balance and harmony in body, mind, and energy. It strengthens the body-mind connection. This allows us to deeply relax, center ourselves, be more present, gain mental clarity and stability, refresh, find balance and inner peace, and deepen our connection within ourselves and with the world around us. The practice of Reiki reestablishes the body’s natural rhythm and equilibrium allowing healing to happen.

ABOUT THE GROUP SESSION

This group healing session offers a safe space where participants can gather to receive whatever they might need at that time to heal, both for themselves and for others. The group will be kept small. There is no prerequisite. During this 30-minutes session, participants will be guided to deeply relax through a short guided meditation followed by a silent distance healing practice. Healing intentions for those in need around you are welcome and can be placed in the comments section.

WHAT IS DISTANCE HEALING?

Distance healing is not literally about distance but rather about becoming more deeply aware that we are all already energetically inter-connected through the web of life. Reiki distant healing works very much like an in-person session, except that the physical presence of the facilitator is energetic. In that space, what is touched goes beyond the physicality.

PREPARATION

Choose a calm and comfortable space in your home, one where you will feel safe and not be disturbed.

We recommend you download the Zoom app on your laptop, desktop, or phone.

Please test your audio/video in advance.

You may gather a few cushions and blankets to keep you warm.

You may also wish to place a glass of water or some warm green tea nearby to drink at the end of the session.

You will be invited to place the names of those you wish to include in this group healing session in the comments section of the Zoom session.
