REIKI FOR SELF-CARE
A 1-hour private Reiki self-care practice, online or in-person. Multiple-session discount available. This practice is offered as a monthly group practice online as a drop-in at the Japanese Culture Center in Chicago.
ABOUT THE SELF-CARE SESSION
This one-hour Reiki self-care practice in the traditional Japanese style of Reiki offers participants the opportunity to take a pause, to relax, refresh, and come back to their original state of balance. This practice is guided by Veronique Frede, Reiki Teacher. It may include breathing exercises and meditation, hands-on healing on ourselves, finding balance through the Japanese energy system, exploring the Reiki precepts as life-guiding principles as well as receiving distance healing from the teacher when online or a short hands-on session when in-person. The goal is on practice and meeting participants' needs for wellbeing.
PREPARATION
Make sure you are in a quiet and comfortable place at the time of the session.
We recommend you download the Zoom app on your laptop, desktop, or phone.
Please test your audio/video in advance.
You can practice seated on a chair or on the floor in seiza or lotus position.
Plan for an hour session.
Have some water available to drink.
1:1 Reiki Self-Care Practice Session
By registering, I understand that Reiki practitioners do not diagnose conditions, nor do they prescribe or perform medical treatment, counseling, prescribe substances, nor interfere with the treatment of a licensed medical professional. I understand that Reiki does not replace medical care. It is recommended that I see a licensed physician or licensed health care professional for any physical or psychological ailment I may have. I understand that the body has the capacity to heal itself and to do so, complete relaxation is often beneficial. I understand that I may experience a wide variety of sensation, emotions, thoughts, memories, etc. during a class or session. Sometimes those experiences may be pleasant, at other times they may come with some emotional release, thus may be less pleasant. In either case, this process will ultimately enhance overall wellbeing. I acknowledge that long-term imbalances in the body sometimes require multiple sessions to facilitate the level of deep relaxation needed by the body to heal itself.
We understand life if full of changes that an affect our schedules. To be fair and respectful to everyone's time, we ask our clients for at least a 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule their session. There will be a 50% refund for appointments cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice and no refund for no-show. We thank you for your understanding.
